Is it truly frameless?

Yes. The canopy is the structure — no ribs, no hinges, no metal frame. A single continuous origami surface replaces every part that traditionally breaks.
Is it wind-resistant?

Absolutely. A reinforced tension ring and composite canopy layers create a self-supporting dome engineered to endure winds that destroy conventional umbrellas.
Does it protect from UV?

How long does it last?

Ori is built to outlive traditional umbrellas by miles. It’s tested for 400–500 full folding cycles — far beyond the lifespan of any rib-based design.
What materials is it made from?

Ori uses a next-generation laminated composite canopy with nano-coating, giving it extreme durability, water resistance, UV protection, and a smooth, premium finish. Every layer is engineered — from aerospace-grade folding lines to a reinforced tension structure — to last hundreds of cycles without stretching, tearing, or deforming.

All technical data, measurements, dimensions, folding ratios, materials, and performance values presented on this website are based on engineering prototypes and pre-production models. actual production specifications may be modified without notice for safety, regulatory, performance, or supply-chain reasons. any renders, animations, or digital prototypes on this website are illustrative simulations and may differ from the final delivered product.

4. Engineering and performance disclaimers. folding performance, canopy tension, structural integrity, deployment speed, motor torque, and durability depend on environmental temperature, humidity, mechanical wear, material batch variations, and user handling. ori technologies does not guarantee identical performance across all units, as micro-variations are inherent to high-precision folding systems and composite materials.

5. Battery, display, and electronic systems. ori umbrellas contain electronic components, including lithium-ion cells, microcontrollers, tactile input systems, and oled/tft display modules. battery lifespan depends on charging habits, temperature cycles, and total usage hours. minor pixel variations may occur in accordance with standard display industry tolerances. charging requires a usb-c adapter and cable, sold separately. smart functions require the ori app and a compatible ios or android device.

6. Airsense and uv measurement disclaimers. environmental data displayed by airsense or uv monitoring systems is provided for general informational purposes only. these readings are not intended for diagnostic, medical, scientific, or safety-critical use. accuracy may fluctuate depending on sensor calibration, atmospheric conditions, uv reflection angles, and device placement during operation.

7. Water resistance and material behavior. water repellency and uv resistance are based on internal testing of laminated and nano-coated composite materials. coatings naturally degrade over time with exposure to rain, friction, environmental pollutants, and normal use. ori umbrellas are not waterproof devices and must not be submerged or used as protective equipment against hazardous liquids.

8. Safety and mechanical warnings. ori umbrellas incorporate folding structures and micro-actuation systems that involve moving parts. users must avoid inserting fingers, hands, or objects into any folding or hinge areas. the product should not be operated near loose hair, scarves, accessories, or children. avoid extreme temperatures, impacts, bending forces, or attempts to forcibly open or close the device. improper usage voids warranty and may result in damage or injury.

9. Regulatory compliance status. ori products are currently undergoing the required global regulatory testing and certification process. all mandatory approvals will be completed prior to shipment of customer units. intended certifications include ce, rohs, and reach (eu); esma (uae); fcc part 15 and ul-certified components (usa); and un 38.3 certification for international lithium-battery transport safety. certifications will be published once fully approved and validated by accredited laboratories.

10. Warranty coverage. ori umbrellas are covered by a limited warranty that applies exclusively to manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship. the warranty does not cover wear and tear, accidental damage, environmental exposure, unauthorized repairs, modifications, misuse, failure to follow safety instructions, or operation outside of recommended environmental conditions. proof of purchase may be required for warranty claims. warranty terms differ depending on region and distribution channel.

11. Service limitations. ori technologies reserves the right to repair, replace, or refund defective units at its discretion. replacement units may include new or refurbished components. service availability may vary by country or shipping regulations. certain components—including batteries and electronic displays—may be subject to additional regulatory restrictions when transported.

12. App, privacy, and data usage. use of smart features requires installation of the ori app and acceptance of the terms of use, privacy policy, and data usage guidelines. the app may collect anonymized analytics, diagnostic information, and performance logs to improve product reliability. location features are optional and controlled by the user. cloud-based features may require a stable internet connection.

13. Payments, shipping, and returns. prices may include applicable taxes depending on region. shipping times vary by destination, customs processes, logistical capacity, and carrier availability. pre-order deposits and reservations are subject to the terms provided during checkout. refunds and returns follow the ori return policy and may require the product to be unused, undamaged, and returned in original packaging.

14. Limitation of liability. to the maximum extent permitted by law, ori technologies is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including personal injury, loss of data, loss of revenue, interruption of service, environmental sensor inaccuracies, or damages caused by user misuse, unauthorized accessories, or third-party integrations. some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so these limitations may not apply.

15. Environmental disclaimers. life-cycle performance, recyclability, and material sustainability claims are based on internal assessments and may vary by region due to local recycling infrastructure, regulatory frameworks, or disposal practices. ori technologies is not responsible for improper disposal of electronic or battery components.

16. Visual and digital content. imagery, animations, demonstrational videos, interface mockups, and product renders on this website are simulations created for illustration and may not reflect final product appearance, color accuracy, or manufacturing tolerances. all such content is protected under copyright.
